Our client is a forward-thinking and highly respected Audio-Visual integrator delivering cutting-edge AV and Video Conferencing solutions across a diverse customer portfolio. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled and motivated AV Installation & Service Engineer to join their expanding technical team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AV professional who enjoys a varied role combining installation, service, client interaction, and technical excellence.

The Role

As an AV Installation & Service Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality installations and providing ongoing technical support. You will be customer-facing, hands-on, and trusted to represent The Client with professionalism and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure and maintain Audio Visual and Video Conferencing systemsInstall equipment including:ProjectorsVideo wallsLED wallsDigital Signage LFDsBuild and program AV racks to a high standardRead and interpret AV system schematics and cabling drawingsDiagnose faults on-site and restore service efficientlyCarry out proactive and reactive maintenance visitsDeliver end-user familiarisation training following installationComplete accurate documentation including asset registers and service reportsProvide clear verbal and written feedback to internal teamsBuild strong relationships with customers and identify potential upselling opportunitiesSupport a smooth handover from installation to service support teamsMaintain high technical standards across all projectsWhat Success Looks Like

Essential

Minimum 2 years' experience as an AV / VC EngineerExperience installing and supporting AV and Video Conferencing solutionsExperience with programming and rack buildingAbility to read and interpret AV system schematicsFamiliarity with:ExtronCrestronKramerExperience with VC manufacturers such as:PolyLogitechCiscoYealinkAbility to terminate cables to industry standard (RS232, Cat5e/Cat6)Strong written and verbal communication skillsExperience working in or alongside a helpdesk/support environmentAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFlexible approach to working hoursWillingness to travel, including occasional work outside the UKECS (Electrotechnical Certification Scheme) or equivalentDesirable
