Associate Flood Risk Consultant - Basingstoke

60,000 - 70,000

A growing specialist consultancy is looking to appoint an Associate Flood Risk Consultant to join their team in Basingstoke. This is a good opportunity for an experienced flood risk professional looking to take on greater responsibility across technical delivery, client management and project leadership.

The Role:

Lead and manage flood risk and drainage projects from inception through to completion.Prepare Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies for residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.Undertake and review hydraulic modelling and flood risk assessments.Provide technical advice to clients, developers, planners and other stakeholders.Liaise with the Environment Agency, Lead Local Flood Authorities and other regulatory bodies.Manage project budgets, programmes and client requirements.Review technical work and provide guidance to junior members of the team.Support business development, fee proposals and client relationships.Contribute to the continued growth and development of the flood risk team.The Candidate:

Strong experience within flood risk consultancy.Experience producing Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies.Good understanding of planning requirements and flood risk policy.Experience with hydraulic modelling software such as Flood Modeller, TUFLOW or InfoWorks ICM would be advantageous.Confident dealing with clients and regulatory authorities.Previous experience mentoring or managing junior staff.Relevant degree in Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
