The Associate Fire Engineer's Role
The Associate Fire Engineer will oversee a portfolio of fire consultancy projects, managing delivery, client relationships, and team performance. This role is far more than technical delivery - it calls for a decision-maker, a mentor, and someone capable of wearing multiple hats, from project management and cost control to construction coordination.
You'll support strategic fire safety growth plans through technical leadership and pragmatic engineering solutions. The Associate Fire Engineer will provide guidance on legislation, liaise with authorities, and deliver training to clients and team members alike.

Level 5 qualification or above in a Fire-related disciplineIdeally Chartered, working towards, or currently applyingExcellent knowledge of UK fire safety legislationIFE or IFSM membershipExperience managing projects, clients, and junior staffAble to lead on-site inspections and produce fire safety strategiesCommercial awareness and strong communication skillsDemonstrated mentoring experience with emotional intelligence and patienceRisk-based thinker with the creativity to find feasible, cost-effective solutionsIn Return?
