Job Title: Assistant Estimator

Location: Tunbridge Wells - This role is office based and does not offer remote working options.

Salary: GBP30,000 - GBP35,000 per annum

Faircloth Construction Ltd have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Estimator to join our growing business.

Faircloth Construction Ltd work with some of the UK's largest property development investment companies. Working as a Main Contractor, Faircloth Construction specialise in the design and construction of commercial, retail, industrial and leisure projects.

Responsibilities and Scope:

Prepare tender packages and manage the bid processReviewing tender documentation including prelims and contract docs, visits to site locations as requiredProvide full take offs and produce BoQsSub-contractor tendering and quote comparisonsCost-PlanningAssessing levels of risk and opportunity on tendersTender adjudications and profit planning Desirable Criteria:

A form of Construction-related qualification, either completed or in progressUnderstanding of current market ratesAbility to undertake 1st principle estimating pricing items based on labour, plant and materialsAbility to provide quick turn arounds during busier timesUse of initiative to work to strict deadlinesExcellent use of Excel and other Microsoft softwareGood presentation and written English skillsStrong mathematics skillsSome knowledge of construction methodologySome understanding of JCT contractLive within 1 hour drive of the Tunbridge Wells office What you will receive:
