Description

The Company

My client is a well-established electronics manufacturer looking for a Test Technician to join their growing test team.

The Role

This role involves the testing and investigation of production products using automatic test fixtures as part of cell manufacturing. Responsibilities include:

* Testing high-voltage power supplies to specification requirements

* Providing hands-on support for manufacturing activities, including basic mechanical assembly, component installation, and general production assistance

* Completing test reports and documentation in line with customer requirements and the Quality Management System standards

* Upgrading and modifying assemblies and finished products

* Interpreting and implementing changes to assemblies and finished products through documentation

* Identifying product quality and performance issues and raising appropriate non-conformances

* Liaising with Design Engineering, Test Equipment Design, and Sales to support customer requirements and ensure product quality and performance

* Supporting the Company’s ISO14001 Environmental Management System and ISO9001 Quality Management System, including contributing to improvement initiatives, identifying new ‘green’ opportunities, and suggesting ways the business can improve

* Adhering to the Company’s ISO9001 Quality, ISO14001 Environmental, and Health & Safety management systems

The Candidate

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

Ability to test products by following procedures accurately and meeting standard times

Proficiency with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, digital power supplies, and multimeters

Experience with test methods

Soldering and rework skills to IPC standards

Previous experience working in a lean manufacturing environment

Salary: £25,000 – £27,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
