Location: Cambridge (CB22)

Duration: Temporary but with the potential to go temp to perm

Hours: 8am - 4pm, Monday - Friday but can be flexible

Salary: £16.92 per hour

Polytec are seeking a detail orientated Materials Technician to join our south Cambridge based client. This is a hands-on, site-based role supporting the efficient flow of materials through the warehouse and production environment including inspection of incoming components.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and book in incoming goods

• Pick and issue materials for production

• Maintain accurate stock records using an MRP system

• Carry out cycle counts and investigate stock discrepancies

• Ensure correct stock rotation, storage and traceability

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety

• Work closely with Production, Procurement and Quality teams

Requirements

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and use basic measuring equipment such as verniers and calipers

• PCBA inspection skills (IPC standards experience useful)

• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail

• Good communication skills and a proactive approach

• Competent with Microsoft Office

• Able to work independently and as part of a xjnqpsq team

• Experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or engineering environment

• Knowledge of stock control and MRP systems

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

• Full UK driving licence
