Description

Junior AV Engineer will provide onsite technical support for audio visual and collaboration systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and user support. The role requires a customer-focused, detail-oriented individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced onsite environment.

Key Responsibilities

*

Provide onsite AV and video conferencing support, including walk-up assistance

*

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve AV system faults

*

Support video conferencing and Microsoft Teams Room systems

*

Perform low to medium risk maintenance tasks in line with health and safety guidelines

*

Assist with installation, cabling, and peripheral changes

*

Escalate complex or high-risk issues to senior engineers or resolver groups

*

Support events, town halls, and webcast meetings as required

*

Maintain and update technical documentation and asset records

*

Coordinate room downtime and liaise with stakeholders as needed

*

Manage basic stock control and goods receipt

*

Work closely with vendors or third parties to restore services

*

Deliver a high level of customer service and professional communication

Skills & Experience

*

1–3 years’ experience in an AV Engineer or AV Technician role (preferred)

*

Practical knowledge of AV and video conferencing systems

*

Basic understanding of network architecture and IT systems

*

Experience using AV tools and test equipment

*

Ability to read and understand technical drawings or schematics

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

*

Ability to work independently and under pressure

*

CTS certification achieved or working towards

*

Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and upskill

Work Location & Hours

*

Primary work location is onsite at customer premises in Central London

*

40 hours per week

*

Occasional weekend or out-of-hours work may be required

*

Occasional travel for site work, training, or team meetings
