Lister Hospital, Stevenage, SG1 4AB

East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS trust

£16.53 per hour

Monday – Friday 08:00-16:00 (37.5 hours per week) with on call rota every 6 weeks.

ENHT is looking for a skilled, adaptable electrician to join their NHS acute team services in Hertfordshire, where you’ll work on everything from fault finding to maintaining essential systems.

Duties include:

* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance across hospital systems.

* Diagnose and repair faults on building services including electrical distribution, fire alarms, nurse call systems, motors, and ventilation plant.

* Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation, completing risk assessments for relevant tasks.

* Maintain plant and equipment efficiently using appropriate tools and servicing equipment.

* Order engineering spares, materials, and equipment as required.

* Take part in emergency responses including fire alarm activations and lift trappings.

* Supervise contractors and carry out minor electrical installations and improvements in line with regulations.

* Participate in the Trust-wide emergency on-call rota.

The skills required are:

* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent

* City & Guilds Level 3 Inspection & Testing

* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

* First Aid & Health & Safety certification

* PAT Testing (City & Guilds 237)

_ This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience._
