Description
Electrical Assembly Technician
Location: Gosport, Hampshire
Contract: 6-month contract (likely to be extended)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Start Date: Immediate
Hours: 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am - 6:00pm (4-day week, on site)
Pay Rate: Up to £23 per hour PAYE (£26 per hour including holiday pay) or £31 per hour Umbrella
The Role
We are recruiting an Electrical Assembly Technician to join our Electrical Assembly department, supporting the build of specialist aircraft lighting products.
You will work as part of a skilled team and must also be capable of working independently when required.
Due to the nature of this role, candidates MUST hold a British Passport, have proven experience assembling aircraft or military products, and be eligible and willing to undergo Security Clearance (SC). This role is fully site-based, four days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical and mechanical assembly of aircraft and military-grade products
Wiring, soldering, and crimping to approved aviation and defence standards
Application of sealants, adhesives, and potting compounds
Accurate completion of job cards and maintenance of full material traceability
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics

Mandatory Skills & Experience
Previous experience assembling aircraft or military products (essential)
Proven background in electrical and mechanical assembly
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
Competence in wiring, soldering, crimping, and mechanical assembly
Basic knowledge of electronic circuits and wiring standards
Excellent attention to detail and quality awareness
