Our client is seeking a Control Panel Test Engineer

Overview:

In this role, Control Panel Test Engineer, you’ll be the final checkpoint in our production process, ensuring every panel meets the highest standards of safety, functionality, and design integrity. You’ll work closely with our manufacturing team, applying your technical expertise to test, inspect, and troubleshoot a wide variety of control panels.

The company manufactures a diverse range of control panels for various industries, including large-scale batch production and unique one-off designs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect completed panels for compliance with design and safety standards

• Perform point-to-point electrical testing (up to 415Vac 3-phase)

• Conduct full functional and operational testing against design documentation

• Diagnose faults and carry out rework within departmental SOP guidelines

• Use tools and equipment safely, following company procedures

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment

• Support the controls production team with build guidance when needed

• Record any deviations from work documentation during construction

• Ensure safe use of electrical testing equipment

• Complete both electronic and paper-based documentation for accurate test records

• Log inspection stages and time taken using the MRP system

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in control panel testing and wiringcv

• Strong understanding of electrical systems and components

• Skilled in fault diagnosis and problem-solving

• Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with customers

• Able to work effectively under pressure

* Monday – Thursday: 06:30 – 15:30 Friday: 07:00 – 12:00
