Raleigh Stow-E Way folding electric bike, 2020 model. It’s a UK‑legal 250W electric folder that’s ideal for commuting, caravans, motorhomes or flat living.

The bike itself is in excellent, lightly‑used condition, but the battery is effectively dead and the electrics need attention, so please read the full description.

Condition (bike)
Very low usage – has spent most of its life in storage
Frame, wheels, brakes and gears all in good working order
Folds quickly and easily – fits in a car boot or under the stairs
20" wheels, V‑brakes, Shimano gears
Stored indoors

Battery & electrics – IMPORTANT
Original TranzX 36V battery included, but no longer holds a usable charge
Charger light goes red when connected via the bike, so the charger appears to be working
Display comes on and cycles error codes E0800 / E0801 (communication errors in the TranzX system)
I’m selling the bike as‑is, on the assumption that:
The battery will need refurbishing (“recelling”) or replacing, and
The electrics may need a bit of checking (cables/connectors)
I have not had the battery professionally tested or sent for refurbishment – I’m pricing it accordingly for someone who is happy to sort this out.

Ideal for someone who:

Already has a compatible TranzX battery, or
Knows a battery refurbishment service and wants a quality folding e‑bike at a good price, or
Wants a solid folding bike + motor as a project.
New Stow‑E Way bikes are around £1,100–£1,200, so even after paying for a refurbished/new battery this can work out much cheaper than buying new.
