Having been essentially unused for 10 years or so, the last owner set about comprehensively overhauling the bike both in terms of mechanical and cosmetic items. The works completed was extensive, all fully documented, and as listed in the relevant sections above

The Ducati 916 launched in 1994 and very simply put blew the world away. At that time, the prettiest (arguably remaining to this day) most focussed, beatifully designed motorcycle there had ever been, and a significant game changer on all levels. If ever a bike was destined to become a future classic, well, this was it, and 32 years after it’s launch, any 916/996/998 Ducati, from a Biposto, to an SPS, to an R, remains a thing of beauty, and hugely desirable

The standard mechanical specification included fully adjustable Showa 43mm dia. BPF front suspension, fully adjustable Showa rear suspension (OHLINS FITTED TO THIS BIKE) Gold Brembo 4 piston calipers, 320mm dia. front brake discs, steering damper, quick release fairings and body panels, and an easily replaceable dry clutch

Sargent of Copthorne for 17 years, building a solid reputation, through 1000s of sales, for supplying high quality vehicles, with an honest and dependable approach. In May 2011, we relocated from our native Copthorne to the beautiful rural countryside in the heart of ‘1066 Country’ between historic Battle and picturesque Rye in East Sussex. Our trading name changed accordingly, but our business remains the same.

Sargents of Sussex is run by Damon Sargent. A lifelong enthusiast, motor cars were instilled in his blood from a long family background of motor and mechanical engineers. Now in it's thirty second year the business continues to run with an enthusiasm and integrity that is higher than ever, with according specialist knowledge of the stock. We pride ourselves on a 'traditional values' approach to our customers and will always make every effort to resolve any issues, should they arise. Indeed, we value repeat business very highly and are delighted to say that many customers return because they have determined to buy only from us.

Throughout our trading years we have endeavoured to source vehicles of a more interesting nature and we have sold numerous Ferrari, Porsche and AMG Mercedes, BMW M3/M5, Lotus Elise, Subaru Impreza and Mitsubishi Evolution. Our core business now concentrates on motorcycle sales and we have sold numerous bikes from Aprilia, BMW, Ducati, Harley Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, MV Agusta, Moto Guzzi, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha, to name but a few. Our key market is sports bikes, but we have a significant interest in stocking the ever more popular 'naked street bikes' as well as mainstream sports tourers and commuters, and the more niche market supermoto and enduros, as well as the odd classic. Against any of our sales bikes, we welcome cars or other bikes in part exchange against them. As ever, our long term partners at Meridian Finance can offer all manner of lending solutions against these machines.

The Sargent family have been involved in the motor trade for a great many years now. The great grandfather of Damon Sargent, Henry James Sargent, began trading, in East Grinstead, in the early 1920's and built a successful business, Sargents of East Grinstead Ltd., which remained for 60 years until finally closed in the early 1980's. We are proud to follow in the family tradition.

Based in East Sussex between Battle and Rye, we are surprisingly accessible being just 5 minutes from the A21, and a little under 1 hour south of M25 Junction 5 for customers travelling from the motorway network.
