1976 Ducati 900SS, presented today in outstanding condition, simply stunning

This fabulous 1976 Ducati 900SS bevel drive, non-omologatto machine is one of just 280 such examples produced, featuring a factory hand-built motor (as per the earlier 1974-5 models). The Ducati was sourced from Mr. Frank Clement, a very well known and respected Ducati collector from Belgium. Frank had bought the bike in very original but tired condition, commissioning specialist Back to Classics to deliver a full frame off restoration at a cost of c.€40,000 in 2015.

Upon arrival, a number of details needed attending to, and so the bike was stripped once more and carefully rebuilt. The frame and components were repainted, all panels were offered up, repaired where required, refinished then fitted. The switchgear was repainted, and the lettering refinished by hand as it would have been done by the factory. The entire motorcycle was rewired and now all electrics work perfectly. Brand new 40mm Dellorto carburettors are fitted, correctly set up and extensively tested. A full dossier of the works completed on the bike is available by request.
