Recon observation drone, onboard camera, remote controller - untested/ spares.
Cheadle, Staffordshire
£10
Description
I have a boxed drone that looks in good condition but the rechargeable battery is missing, so I'm unable to test it. Although I would be interested in flying a drone, money is tight so I'm not prepared to buy a battery for £8 to £10 to find out. I wouldn't get the battery price back in the sale price, therefore selling it as untested.
The box measures 550 x 370 x 80mm and weighs 970g with the contents. Text on the box lists the product features:
Video and photos
Gyro Stabilised
4 channel control
2.4G GHz
USB charging
3 speed modes
LED lights
50m range
8 minute flight time
Indoor outdoor flying
Onboard camera takes photos and videos.
Note the sd card and card reader mentioned on the box are missing.
Inside the box is the drone, some spare rotors and a controller.
The drone is quite large compared to others I've seen. It measures about 320 x 320 x 80mm, weighs 120g. Underside has an on/off switch and a camera with rear sd card slot. The camera is mounted on the hinged battery compartment door. Inside is a 2 pin black and red rectangular plug.
The controller measures about 145 wide, 55 depth, 140 height (190mm ht incl aerial), weighs 180g excl. 4 No. AA batteries not incl. It powers on, red light illuminates and controls make a beeping noise when operated.
From research I've found that it needs no operator training, registration or licence because it weighs less than 250g and won't reach heights of 120m. You should verify this yourself before flying it. The battery required is likely to be 1S 3.7V Li-Po 500-800 mAh with a JST-SM 2-pin connector. You need to verify this before buying a battery.
Note the specific condition category was not available, had to choose one option to proceed, fair condition was the lowest condition option available, so chose that, untested as described here still applies.
