Workshop Manager – Permanent - £37500 basic + 5% Profit Share (OTE £48000)

As a Workshop Manager you will: -

Workshop Operations & Coordination

* Allocate jobs efficiently based on technician skills and availability

* Oversee job progress, provide technical support, and ensure quality standards

* Manage workshop schedule, shift planning, and technician resources

Compliance & Safety

* Ensure DVSA, MOT, and Health & Safety compliance across workshop operations

* Maintain workshop equipment, calibration, and safety logs

Productivity & Quality Control

* Monitor technician performance and minimise reworks

* Drive high standards through regular audits and parts readiness

Team Support & Communication

* Act as the link between technicians and Service Advisors/Managers

* Mentor junior team members and help identify training needs

What You Will Bring

Must Haves:

1. Strong technical knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and compliance (MOT, servicing, brakes, etc.)

2. Proven experience in managing workshop operations and technician teams

3. Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills

Nice to Have:

* Experience with workshop management software and job card systems

* Relevant technical certifications or qualifications (e.g., IMI, ATA)
