Description
We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable client in Crawley for the position of Vehicle Technician. Our client is a specialist in Volkswagen, Audi, and Seat vehicles, offering a role that combines technical excellence with a supportive team environment.
Benefits for the successful Vehicle Technician will include:
Competitive salary between £35,000 and £40,000 per annum
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm working hours

Chance to work on a premium vehicle range, including Volkswagen, Audi, and Seat modelsDuties as a Vehicle Technician:
Conduct routine inspections and comprehensive maintenance on a diverse fleet of vehicles
Perform repairs such as brake replacements, engine diagnostics, oil changes, and electrical system repairs
Utilise diagnostic tools including VAGCOM, ODIS, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and ADAS calibration devices
Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics accurately
Complete job cards meticulously and communicate repairs effectively with service advisors
Troubleshoot electrical wiring issues and perform repairs using dealer-specific information
Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards
Contribute to workshop efficiency through team collaboration and maintaining workshop organisation
Assist with workshop duties outside repairs to support ongoing business growth
Participate in content creation for social media as requiredRequirements:
Proven mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair vehicle systems
Experience with vehicle maintenance procedures, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components
Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment such as VAGCOM, ODIS, and electrical testing devices
Familiarity with vehicle schematics and technical manuals
Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
Excellent communication skills for team collaboration and customer interactions
A proactive approach and commitment to high-quality workmanship
Experience working on Volkswagen group vehicles is preferred but not essential
