Vehicle technician

Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester to join a friendly, professional and busy automotive service centre.

You will be working in a modern workshop environment, equipped with the latest diagnostic technology, tools and manufacturer-approved processes. This role involves the diagnosis, repair, servicing and MOT testing of vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with manufacturer guidelines.

MOT Tester responsibilities:

* Carry out diagnostic and investigative work to identify and rectify faults

* Complete servicing to manufacturer standards

* Conduct full vehicle inspections to identify non-routine defects

* Carry out Electronic Vehicle Health Checks (EVHCs) and Video Health Checks

* Road test vehicles for diagnostic purposes and post-repair checks

* Liaise closely with Service Advisors, keeping them informed of job progress

* Discuss technical issues with customers where required

* Obtain appropriate authorisation prior to completing additional work

* Maintain a high level of technical knowledge through ongoing training

Skills & experience required:

* Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance xjnqpsq & Repair qualification

* Valid MOT Licence

* Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician

* Full UK driving licence

* Strong communication skills and customer-focused attitude

* Professional, self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
