Service Advisor

Description

We are seeking a Service Advisor to join our established automotive dealership in St Peter Port, Guernsey. This permanent Service Advisor position offers an excellent opportunity to join a professional, supportive team and provide outstanding customer service within a modern dealership environment.

Benefits:

Competitive salary of £35,000 per annum, plus up to £5,000 performance bonus (£40,000 OTE).

40-hour working week with rotating shifts between 08:00 and 18:00, either 08:00–17:00 or 09:00–18:00, including a one-hour lunch break.

A close-knit dealership team comprising technicians, service advisors and parts specialists.

Guernsey’s flat 20% income tax rate, higher tax-free allowance and 0% VAT.Duties:

As a Service Advisor, greet customers professionally and book vehicles in for servicing, repairs and diagnostic work.

Coordinate vehicle movements, workshop bookings and daily loan vehicle allocation.

Liaise with customers, technicians and the parts department to maintain an efficient workshop operation.

Explain technical health checks, maintenance recommendations and repair quotations clearly.

Prepare repair orders, manage service bookings, process invoices and handle customer payments.

Maintain accurate records while delivering a consistently high level of customer care.Requirements:

Previous experience as a Service Advisor, dealership receptionist or customer service specialist is preferred.

We will consider individuals from retail or hospitality backgrounds who demonstrate excellent customer management skills; full training is available.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, effective administration and a calm, professional approach.

A valid UK or EU driving licence.

UK or Irish passport holders require no visa to live and work in Guernsey.
