Parts Supervisor / Parts Manager / Parts Team Leader Exeter

Location: Exeter

Salary: £36,832 per year

Hours: 40 hours per week plus Saturday morning on a rota (one in four)

Parts Supervisor Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Parts Supervisor / Parts Manager / Parts Team Leader to oversee a busy parts department in Exeter. You will be responsible for managing a small but busy team including two parts advisors, two parts delivery drivers, and an apprentice, ensuring smooth operations, stock accuracy, and excellent customer service.

This role suits someone with proven experience supervising a parts department, ideally within the commercial vehicle or automotive sector. You will be hands-on when needed but also able to lead, coach, and develop your team.

Key Responsibilities of the Parts Supervisor / Parts Manager

Managing daily operations of the parts department and workflow

Supervising, mentoring, and developing the parts team including advisors, drivers, and apprentices

Maintaining accurate stock levels and inventory control

Ensuring timely and efficient parts ordering and delivery

Providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers

Monitoring departmental performance and reporting to senior management

Supporting the wider workshop and operational team as needed

Skills and Qualifications Required

Previous experience supervising a parts department, ideally in CV or automotive

Strong leadership xjnqpsq and team management skills

Good organisational and stock management ability

Customer focused with excellent communication skills

IT literate and comfortable using parts management systems

Full UK driving licence
