Motorhome Technician
Up to £40,000 DOE | Burton upon Trent | Full-Time | Permanent
Enjoy the technical challenge without the unsociable hours.
An established and growing automotive business is opening a new garage in Burton, and we're looking for an experienced Motorhome Repair Technician to join the team.
If you're technically minded, enjoy fault-finding and want to work on something a little different, this is an opportunity to specialise in motorhomes and campervans, tackling a varied range of habitation repairs, electrical issues and installations.
The best part? No shift work, no evenings and no weekends. Enjoy a proper work-life balance, with your evenings and weekends free while working in a specialist, hands-on technical role.
The workshop is being built from the ground up, giving you the opportunity to make your mark and help shape how the team operates.
What you'll be doing:
*
Carrying out motorhome and caravan habitation servicing
*
Diagnosing and repairing electrical, water, heating and appliance faults
*
Working with 12V and 240V electrical systems
*
Completing damp checks and interior repairs
*
Installing accessories such as solar panels, awnings, alarms and cameras
*
Investigating battery and charging issues
*
Preparing vehicles for sale and customer handover
*
Maintaining accurate repair reports and job records
What we're looking for:
*
Previous experience as a Motorhome, Caravan or Vehicle Technician
*
Strong electrical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
*
Knowledge of 12V and 240V systems
*
Basic plumbing and interior repair experience
*
A methodical approach and attention to detail
*
A full UK driving licence
NCC / AWS habitation certification, LPG or gas qualifications and accessory installation experience would be advantageous, xjnqpsq but aren't essential.
What's on offer:
*
Salary up to £40,000 DOE
*
No shift work, evening work or weekend work
*
A genuine opportunity to enjoy a better work-life balance
*
Varied technical work across motorhomes and campervans
*
Modern equipment and facilities
*
Training and development opportunities
*
The chance to help build a new workshop from the ground up
*
A supportive environment within a growing business
If you're looking for a hands-on technical role with variety, responsibility and hours that work around your life, we'd love to hear from you
