Description
Shorterm Group have partnered with some of the biggest HGV companies across the UK, aimed at upskilling vehicle mechanics into skilled HGV technicians.
We are currently looking for qualified and experienced mechanics to join the programme in the Greater Manchester area.
It is a 1 year, earn-and-learn programme, full-time in the depot, along with online learning to be done in your own time (1-2 hours per week). Upon completion you will receive an IMI accreditation and a pay increase.
The details:
- Location: Greater Manchester
- Pay: £35 000per annum, weekly paid for the training year
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm/8am-6pm, 47.5hrs paid per week
- Shifts may change depending on depot - possible 4x 12hr shifts per week, Monday to Friday (6am-6pm)
- OT available
- Upon completion of the programme you will receive roughly a 20% pay increase minimum!
Entry requirements:
- Min level 3 in vehicle mechanics, or equivalent qualification/apprenticeship
- Min 4 years experience post study/apprenticeship, gained in a workshop environment
- Valid UK Drivers licence
- Own tools suitable for a working light vehicle technician
- A suitable laptop/computer and internet connection.
