Metal Finishing Technician - Aerospace (Contract)

Our aerospace client based in Titchfield is seeking a Metal Finishing Technician to join their team on a contract basis.

The successful candidate will have heat treatment experience alongside metal finishing experience, primarily within chemical treatments such as alocroming, anodising, and related processes.

With a transition to a brand‑new, purpose‑built facility underway, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and highly skilled team.

Contract length

Until Dec 2026 initally, with scope for extension.

Shift pattern

Core day shift

Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:15pm

Friday: 7:30am - 11:30am

Pay Rates - Scope for increase once stamp is obtained.

First 12 weeks - MT5

Basic: PAYE £18.13 | PAYE with Advanced Holiday Pay £20.77

Overtime: PAYE £27.20 | PAYE with Advanced Holiday Pay £31.15

Sundays: PAYE £36.26 | PAYE with Advanced Holiday Pay £41.54

Earlies (10%): PAYE £19.94 | PAYE with Advanced Holiday Pay £22.84

Lates (20%): PAYE £21.76 | PAYE with Advanced Holiday Pay £24.92

After 12 weeks - MT5

Basic: PAYE £18.68 | PAYE with Advanced Holiday Pay £21.40

Overtime: PAYE £28.03 | PAYE with Advanced Holiday Pay £32.10

Sundays: PAYE £37.37 | PAYE with Advanced Holiday Pay £42.80

Job Summary

Reporting to Team Leaders and the Manufacturing Team Manager, the role is primarily focused on the automated plating line. The position may become multi‑functional, supporting all forms of plating, preparation, and masking of parts within the Manufacturing Finishing Department (MFD). xjnqpsq Flexibility and a positive attitude are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Produce work within cost targets

Drive and sustain continuous improvement in line with Eaton standards

Initiate cost‑saving ideas and improvements

Adhere to all Eaton EHS, quality, and training requirements

Work effectively as part of a team

Interpret engineering drawings and applicable aerospace plating specifications

Experience

Previous heat treatment experience is essential

Knowledge of chemical storage, safety, and usage

Problem solving and root cause analysis

Qualifications

Relevant plating or finishing qualifications are advantageous

Computer literacy, including MS Office

Health and safety qualifications are advantageous

Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK and adhere to ITAR restrictions
