Fitter - Aerospace Manufacturing (Trent, Gimbals and Bellows)

Titchfield, Hampshire

Please note: the business will soon relocate to a brand-new manufacturing facility in Lee-on-the-Solent, offering an exciting opportunity to join during a period of growth and investment.

Contract

Long-term PAYE contract to June 2027, with strong potential for extension.

The Opportunity

We are looking for multiple Fitters to join a growing aerospace manufacturing team producing precision-engineered components.

Previous experience with Gimbals, bellows etc is not required. We welcome candidates from sheet metal, fabrication, fitting, or precision engineering backgrounds and will provide full training in the specialist techniques required for the role.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacture and assemble aerospace bellows to engineering specifications.

Work with thin-gauge metals including stainless steel, Inconel and titanium.

Operate fabrication equipment such as guillotines, rolling machines and other sheet metal forming equipment.

Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.

Carry out forming, fitting and assembly activities.

Perform quality inspections to aerospace standards.

Maintain a safe and organised work environment.

Experience working with thin-gauge sheet metal (around 1mm).

Fabrication, forming, assembly or fitting experience.

Good practical engineering skills and manual dexterity.Desirable

Experience working with stainless steel, Inconel or titanium.

Aerospace, defence or precision manufacturing experience.

Experience using guillotines, rollers or similar fabrication equipment.

First 12 Weeks (MT4)

Rates shown for both Accrued and Advanced Holiday Pay options.
