Days/Hours: Monday to Friday afternoon, 5 hours a day, with the flexibility to do more hours during school holidays

A lovely family based in Merton are seeking an experienced part time nanny / housekeeper to support with the care of their three children, aged 8, 12 and 14 years old, while helping with the general upkeep of their five-bedroom home. This is a varied role suited to a warm, reliable and proactive candidate who is happy to combine childcare with household responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience caring for school-aged children and be confident managing after-school routines, school runs, activities and homework. A confident driver is essential for the role, particularly for school collections and taking the children to activities. The successful candidate should also be organised and practical, with good housekeeping skills and a willingness to work additional hours during school holidays when required. The family have a small dog, so the candidate should be comfortable working in a pet-friendly household. Previous private household experience and excellent references are essential.

Duties include:

providing attentive and reliable care for the children
supporting the children’s after-school routines
collecting the children from school when required
driving the children to clubs, activities and appointments
preparing healthy snacks and simple meals
assisting with homework and reading
supporting school projects and educational activities
planning age-appropriate activities and outings
organising outdoor activities and trips to the park
supporting evening routines when required
helping the children prepare for the following school day
organising school bags, uniforms and children’s belongings
keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas tidy
undertaking general housekeeping duties throughout the home
cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
laundry and ironing
making beds and changing bed linen
wardrobe and clothing care
maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
washing up and tidying after meals
monitoring household supplies and replenishing essentials
running occasional household errands
being comfortable working around the family’s dog
working additional hours during school holidays when required
keeping the home tidy, organised and well presented
ensuring the children are happy, safe and well cared for at all times
helping to keep the household running smoothly

Requirements:

Paediatric First Aid
