Part time housekeeper/laundress required in Kensington – ASAP Start
We are looking for a housekeeper/laundress with an extensive knowledge of designer clothing for our client in Kensington.
Highlights:
Start: ASAP
Location: Kensington, London
Working hours: 12-15 hours a week spread over 2 days. Mondays and Wednesdays or Thursdays. 8 am – 3pm.
Salary: £23-£25 gross per hour.
Overview:
Our client is looking for a highly skilled housekeeper to assist with the general upkeep of their 2 storey house in Kensington.
A high level of attention to detail is essential, as the role includes responsibility for an extensive designer wardrobe. The successful candidate will have experience in caring for luxury clothing and accessories, with strong knowledge of fabric care, including cashmere, silk and other delicate materials, as well as overall wardrobe management.
Duties included but not limited too:
Traditional housekeeping duties, such as mopping, hoovering, dusting throughout the house.
Regular dry cleaning drop offs as bed linens are dry cleaned.
Extensive wardrobe management.
Steaming and ironing clothing, including designer garments.
Daily cleaning and care of fine fabrics and household antiques.
Key criteria:
Proven experience in a similar high end private household
Strong wardrobe management and clothing care
Comfortable with dogs (although the dogs are rarely in the house)
