Overview

Our client is seeking a calm and professional Housekeeper to join their household team in a large, formal London townhouse with marble, fine furnishings, antiques, and designer pieces throughout. The successful candidate will have proven experience caring for valuable materials and garments and always maintaining a pristine environment. Longevity in previous roles and being a team player is highly valued.

The family travels extensively during school holidays, during which the housekeeping team conducts deep cleaning. The property must always be maintained to an immaculate, ready-to-occupy standard.

Hours of work are 11am to 9pm, four days per week including one weekend day (with one hour paid lunch break) and one weekend day from 9am to 6pm. (weekend working schedule on rotation) Days off are Wednesday and Thursday.

Duties included but not limited to:

Family laundry and ironing to the highest standard, including care of fine linens and delicate fabrics
Wardrobe management and expert care of designer clothing and accessories
Polishing and care of silver, antiques, and fine furnishings
Deep cleaning during family travel periods
Monitoring and maintaining cleaning standards and supplies
Working with the existing housekeeping team
Always maintaining discretion and professionalism

Key criteria

Proactive, with impeccable attention to detail
Similar experience in a private household
Knowledge of Tagalog a bonus
