Live-in Senior Housekeeper/Cook in Regents Park

On behalf of our private HNW family client, we are seeking an experienced, confident senior Housekeeper/Cook to take care of their beautiful 5 bed property, set over 5 floors (no lift).

The family of three (parents and child) are not in residence all year & require someone to run the property whilst they are away and when they are in residence (up to 3 months of the year on & off), to be hands on with guests and visitors to include daily cooking.

Working hours / schedule:

Full time 9am - 5pm when family not in residence and full time as required when they are in residence (including weekends)

Accommodation:


Private separate entrance mews house attached to the main property. (bedroom, sitting room, bathroom - partner only welcome)



Duties include (but not limited to)

Oversee the management and organisation of the property
Oversee and supervise part time cleaners
Supervise and coordinate extremal contractors
Thorough working knowledge of and capable of managing the maintenance of systems with external providers/teams- audio visual, electric, boilers/heating, air conditioning, pool, water softener, plumbing, alarms, gardening service (patio area only)
Laying the table and dinner service – informal and formal service
Very confident at cooking and can also manage small dinner parties and family occasions
Shopping for food, and household supplies and maintaining wine and spirit stocks
Sending out dry cleaning
Helping with packing and unpacking when the Principals travel
Keep household accounts and records in good order and communicate/report to the family office as required

Skills:

Recent/current experience in a similar role for a HNW private household
Flexible and reliable
Friendly and calm manner
Discreet and loyal with a can-do attitude
Highly organised and have great attention to detail
Good, confident cooking skills to a high standard (healthy, family friendly to dinner party standard)
Team player and previous experience supervising staff
A good level of English language – written & oral
Child friendly
Driver preferred but not essential

Start date: ASAP

Salary: Up to £50k gross

Unless otherwise specified, a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
