🏠 SELF-EMPLOYED HOUSEKEEPER REQUIRED — 15 HOURS PER WEEK

I’m looking for a reliable, practical and organised self-employed housekeeper to become regular support within a busy family home.

This is not a quick weekly clean.

We have two autistic boys and a dog, and I’m looking for someone who can provide genuine, practical household support and help create structure and consistency.

What the work may include

● 🧹 General house cleaning

● 🧺 Laundry — washing, drying, folding and putting away

● 🛏️ Changing beds

● 🚿 Bathrooms

● 🍽️ Kitchen cleaning and organisation

● 🧹 Hoovering and mopping

● 🗑️ General household jobs

● 📦 Decluttering and organising

● 🧼 Tackling all the jobs that keep getting put off!

● 🍲 Simple batch cooking and meal preparation

● 🥘 Preparing meals/portions for the freezer

● 🛒 Occasional household errands

● 🐕 Dog walking and dog-related jobs

The exact balance will vary depending on what the household needs that week.

I’m looking for someone proactive and capable of working independently — someone who can see what needs doing and get on with it.

The household

There are two autistic children in the home, so the household can sometimes be extremely noisy, chaotic and unpredictable.

Being comfortable around neurodivergent children is important.

No judgement is required. This is a busy family home, and the role requires someone who can approach the household and family circumstances with understanding, discretion and respect.

Confidentiality

Confidentiality is of the utmost importance.

You will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and must be comfortable respecting the privacy of the household and family at all times.

Hours & pay

Approximately 15 hours per week, across agreed regular days.

£12.71 per hour to start, with the rate reviewed once experience, ability and suitability for the role have been established.

This will initially be offered as a 6-month arrangement, with a 4-week trial period. Continuation beyond six months will be reviewed depending on how the arrangement works for everyone.

IMPORTANT — SELF-EMPLOYED ONLY

This position is for someone who is genuinely self-employed and responsible for their own tax and National Insurance.

You will invoice for your work and be responsible for your own tax affairs.
