Housekeeper for large private estate

Description

I am looking for a live-in or live-out housekeeper who is also happy to undertake some light cooking occasionally.

You will be joining a large, fully staffed household, and will be primarily taking care of the cleanliness of the property, as well as occasional light cooking (roughly twice per week) under the instruction of the chef. Often the chef will prepare the food to be heated at meal times. The owners of the property often entertain guests especially through the winter months and you may be required to assist the service team.

All of these things can be taught to the right person with the right attitude.

Average working day 10hours, 6 days per week

The family is looking to find the right candidate with a forward-thinking mentality and a desire to work hard to gain valuable experience within the industry,

Duties to include:

Ensuring property is immaculate at all times
Welcome principles and guests and ensure a warm, professional reception.
Attend to guest requests promptly and discreetly.
Assist with personal service, including coat handling, luggage assistance, and seating arrangements.
Assist service team in organizing events or private functions.
Monitor household supplies and report shortages to senior staff.
Serve meals, drinks, and refreshments according to protocol.
Assist in setting tables
Ensure presentation and service quality meet household or hotel standards.

Working Days: 6 days a week

Working Hours: On average 10 hours a day (down time when the principals are away) most likely 11am-9pm flexibility required

Accommodation: Shared cottage with own large bedroom if needed

Salary: £30,000-£40,000+gpa for the right candidate

Benefits: Potential to Travel and accommodation is provided when working overseas, a bonus will also be given.
