Overview

The principal has recently moved back to the UK and is establishing a fully staffed household within a substantial, newly built property. The residence comprises six bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, and regularly hosts guests and extended family members.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the smooth day-to-day running of the property, coordinating contractors and temporary staff as well as overseeing the permanent housekeeper/cooks and gardener, creating standard operating procedures and schedules which ensure the residence is maintained to an exceptionally high standard.

This is an ideal role for a confident, proactive and hands-on House Manager / Butler who enjoys working in a busy private household, is comfortable managing multiple suppliers and service providers, and can anticipate the needs of the Principal and guests.

A new baby is expected in approximately two months, with separate childcare support planned.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Taking responsibility for the overall smooth running of the propertyOverseeing household operations and ensuring consistently high standardsCoordinating provisions, deliveries and household suppliesOverseeing the outdoor swimming pool and ensuring it is maintained throughout the yearOrganising maintenance and servicing requirementsLiaising with tradespeople and external suppliersEnsuring the property is prepared for guests and family visitsProviding discreet and polished service to the Principal and guestsAssisting with hosting and household events when requiredOccasional chauffeuring and airport transfersRunning errands and assisting with general household logisticsSupporting the wider household team as requiredBeing comfortable around and assisting with the care of the family's two Labradoodles
