Head Housekeeper

Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Head Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping operations within a well-established private household located just outside London. The ideal candidate will be open to relocating to this residence and will bring strong leadership, high standards, and a hands-on approach.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and motivate a small housekeeping team, ensuring exceptional standards across the household
Train and support new starters, maintaining consistency and excellence
Oversee daily cleaning, laundry, wardrobe management, and household organisation
Assist with serving, hosting, and meeting/greeting guests when required
Travel occasionally to the principals’ second property to support the wider team
Work collaboratively with other household staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Requirements:

5+ years’ experience working in a private household, ideally in a senior or head housekeeper position
Proven track record in team management and training staff
Confident, professional, and service-oriented with strong attention to detail
Comfortable around animals and willing to work in a home with pets
Full UK driving licence and access to your own car
A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to take initiative
