Experienced Full-Time Housekeeper / Cook – Notting Hill (Private Family, No Agency)

Hello, and thank you for your interest. I am the mother of the family, and we are looking for an exceptional, experienced, hands-on housekeeper/cook to help manage our busy family home in Notting Hill.

This is a long-term position for someone who genuinely enjoys running a home to a very high standard and takes pride in their work. We are specifically looking for a proactive, energetic, highly capable professional — not someone seeking only light housekeeping duties.

Hours Monday to Friday: approximately 45–55 hours per week Saturday: additional 5 hours Flexibility for occasional evening babysitting appreciated a strong level of spoken English is essential.

High-level housekeeping Family cooking Household organisation Occasional childcare support You must be confident taking responsibility for maintaining a large home independently and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities Housekeeping & Home Care Deep cleaning to an exceptionally high standard Daily maintenance and organisation of the home Expert care of marble, delicate finishes, fine furnishings, and interiors Excellent laundry and ironing skills Attention to detail throughout the house Keeping wardrobes, storage areas, and household spaces beautifully organised Taking initiative and identifying what needs to be done without supervision Cooking Cooking is a very important part of this role.

You should be:

A confident and experienced home cook Skilled in preparing fresh, high-quality European cuisine Comfortable with healthy family meals, batch cooking, and meal preparation Able to plan menus and organise shopping lists Highly organised with fridge and pantry management Able to prepare recipes in advance and keep the kitchen running smoothly Childcare Support Occasional nannying duties when needed Some childcare experience preferred Flexibility for evening babysitting is a plus Household Management Coordinating with the gardener and other external staff when required Helping the home run smoothly and efficiently Maintaining high standards across all areas of the household Being proactive, reliable, discreet, and trustworthy Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is:
