Experienced Housekeeper/Cook & Groundsman/Maintenance couple for Surrey, £80k+ gpa

Description

A private client in Ottershaw, Surrey, is seeking an experienced live-in domestic couple (Housekeeper/Cook & Groundsman/Maintenance) to manage their part-time residence.

Duties include:

Full housekeeping and laundry, with care of delicate items, handwashing, and wardrobe management (including packing for trips).
Family-style cooking when the family is in residence, with menus to be discussed and agreed.
Serving at the table for occasional dinner parties and assisting with the planning and execution of family events/parties.
Property and grounds oversight, including basic maintenance, repairs, and security checks.
Managing and liaising with contractors, overseeing refurbishments, and coordinating with tradespeople.
Vehicle care, including washing, refuelling, and ensuring security of the property.
General organisation and property management with a proactive approach to scheduling and maintenance.
Managing utility bills, liaising with providers, and submitting meter readings.
Assisting with outdoor tidiness (note: grounds are maintained by contractors).
Administration and budget control, including producing monthly budgets and reporting.
Managing household staff, including rotas, holidays, cleaning schedules, and training as needed.
Arranging house supplies, checking stock, and handling food shopping and ordering.
Occasionally assisting with general tasks at other family properties in London, as required.

This is a relaxed, informal household with high standards, where discretion, reliability, and proven experience working as a couple are essential. Both candidates must be confident drivers.

The role requires:

5 days per week, totalling approximately 40-45 hours.
Occasional weekend work, so flexibility is essential.

Accommodation:

A self-contained one-bedroom flat with a separate entrance, all utilities paid. A car will be provided for both on- and off-duty use.

Salary:

Negotiable, around £80k+ gross per annum, depending on experience.
