An experienced and well-organised domestic couple is sought to support a couple within their impressive Georgian property, set within beautiful private estate grounds.

The successful couple will become part of a long-standing household and wider estate team, working across the house, gardens and estate. This is a wonderful opportunity for a capable, hands-on couple who enjoy working collaboratively and are looking for a long-term position within an informal and welcoming environment.

One side of the role will focus primarily on housekeeping and family cooking. The ideal candidate will be confident undertaking the day-to-day cleaning and occasional deep cleaning of the property, with excellent attention to detail and experience caring for high-value art, antiques and furnishings. Family laundry will also form part of the role, alongside preparing wholesome, healthy family meals. The family particularly enjoys making use of produce from their kitchen garden and orchard.

There is also scope for this person to assist with outdoor work and the gardens, should this be of interest.

The other side of the role will suit someone who enjoys working outdoors and is keen to take on a varied, hands-on position across the extensive estate. Working alongside the current Estate Manager, Farm Manager and Head Gardener, duties will include general grounds and garden maintenance, supporting maintenance contractors, preparing fire logs, car and window cleaning, and assisting with the upkeep of the gym and indoor swimming pool. Previous horticultural qualifications are not required, but practical experience and a genuine interest in outdoor work are essential.

The couple should be confident drivers and comfortable around dogs. They will need to be trustworthy, reliable, proactive and enthusiastic, with a genuine can-do attitude. Previous experience working together as a couple within a private household or estate is essential, and excellent references will be required and taken up by telephone prior to appointment.

The clients are looking for a couple who will integrate naturally into their established team, work well together and take pride in maintaining both the household and wider estate. English speaking and non-smoking candidates are essential.

Excellent accommodation is provided in the form of a modern, independent four-bedroom, two-bathroom cottage on the estate, with its own private access, garden and garage. All bills are included, apart from food, including council tax, rates and internet. Pets, preferably no cats, and dependants may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

The couple will work five days per week, including weekends when required. However, as the clients travel frequently, weekend working will not be required every weekend and when the clients are away, the couple will generally work Monday to Friday.
