Young cocker / retriever mix breed

Description

This is a really heartbreaking decision, but we are looking to rehome our roughly 1-year-old cocker/retriever mix, Henry. He deserves a home that can provide the structure, consistency, and experienced handling he needs to truly thrive.
Henry is affectionate, playful, and a true Velcro dog who loves being close to his people and having cuddles. He is extremely outdoorsy, loves sniffing adventures, running around with his ball, and is amazing with other dogs both out on walks and in the home. He knows basic commands including sit, paw, stay, and heel. He is house trained, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
As Henry has entered adolescence, he has started testing boundaries and would benefit from someone experienced with young/high-energy dogs who understands behaviour and is committed to continuing his training and routine.
As he is often cared for by different members of the family, we feel he would do best in a calmer home with more consistency and ongoing guidance. We were never originally planning on getting a dog and had not owned one before this.
Although we have tried our absolute best to make things work, our busy household and irregular routines are not the right fit for what Henry needs long term. We would recommend an adult-only or older-child home while he continues maturing and working on behaviour and training. - Microchipped - Neutered - Vaccinated - House trained. Not Crate trained
