Description
This is Kiki, we recently got her from her last owner who said he could not keep her due to changes in his personal life.
He had explained that she was well walked, good with all dogs, cats and just a bit timid to start with.
We have since had to toilet train her, found she has separation anxiety from my male partner (came from a male owner only previously) and she isn’t getting on that well with our current two dogs as they are intimidated by her bouncy puppy behaviours.
She is an incredibly smart, kind, loving dog who needs someone who can train her and provide her good guidance.
She has learnt our rules and boundaries well but needs to be the only dog or with a larger/confident dog(s).
She is happy to play by herself, happy to settle down once she has been on a walk etc. She loves to train and learn.
We aren’t sure how she does with cats as we have one who she has barked and whined at but has never gone for. We correct the behaviour when it happens and will continue to work on this.
The main reason we cannot keep her (and are heartbroken about) is that she is truly such a joy of a dog but my partner works two jobs out of the home so isn’t around enough to work on her separation anxiety. We have seen an improvement in a matter of days (we can happily explain what we have been doing so her new owners could carry this on if need be). But it is taking a toll that isn’t sustainable for us long term, and we know this can take weeks or months to correct.
She is timid and unsure on walks but we are doing 10 minute walks to help improve this with her and we are seeing improvement.
She is timid and shy to start with but she is honestly hilarious, so insanely smart and has so much to give.
She deserves a good home with a good sized garden, and someone who has time to give her.
She will come with her bowls, harness, leads, toys, blankets and everything else she has.
