Description
This is a devastating post to have to write but we can no longer care for him.
This boy deserves the best.
He’s a very good boy, very loving and is great with other dogs (although extremely dominant so other dog would need to be very laid back and submissive if living together) great with cats and adult people. He adores a ball 🥎 and will do anything for something that squeaks, the noisier the better! He is reasonably protective in nature but is great with people once they are invited in or out on walks (as long as it isn’t dark or a dodgey situation). He loves to chase the leaves in Autumn - he is very strong on the lead and this will need more training. He’s not “unwalkable” but will pull to get to things he wants quite suddenly so would be best suited to someone very able bodied. He is active and loves to get out and about, definitely not a couch potato but does love to be close by, the very definition of a Velcro dog although fine to be left for a reasonable length of time. He despises the vet due to a bad experience with his previous owner. He isn’t trusted off lead, his recall isn’t great but we do take him to a secure dog field twice a week.
The only reason for rehoming is he is really unsure of our son who has Autism. We thought we could work through this but it isn’t getting any better. He has never bitten but is nervous around him and growled a few times. A home with out kids would be best as he has been unsure of neighbours children too.
He will make a wonderful companion for someone. We are his second home already and he really deserves to find his forever person. If we didn’t have our son or if they got along we wouldn’t let him go, we just can’t risk it with our sons limited understanding. He’s a fantastic dog.

We will provide support to new owners and would love to be kept undated.
The right home is the most important thing. Please do not message me if you are not willing to under go a home check. We are not judgey people - we truly don’t care if your house is decorated or pristine clean. but will not let him go somewhere unsuitable or to people who can’t meet his needs. We want to see where he will live with our own eyes as we will not risk him going into the wrong hands.
