VINTAGE HORNSEA POTTERY HEIRLOOM BROWN BISCUIT JAR CASSEROLE MILK JUG JAM POT

Description

This is an attractive collection of vintage Hornsea pottery items featuring the 'Heirloom' design in brown.

Hornsea Heirloom tableware was introduced in 1967 and is made from earthenware, a type of porcelain that is both delicate and durable. The iconic Heirloom pattern was designed by John Clappison and features a repeating design that was screen-printed onto the pottery.

The collection includes the following items:

* Biscuit jar with wooden lid (rubber seal has dried out so the lid fits loosely and may not be airtight)
Dimensions: 20cm high x 15.5cm diameter (base), 12cm diameter (lid)

* Casserole/serving dish with lid
Dimensions: 13.5cm high x 19cm diameter (lid)

* Milk jug (small chip on rim)
Dimensions: 16cm long (spout to handle) x 10cm wide x 8cm high

* Jam pot with lid and spoon hole (chip on top of lid near spoon hole)
Dimensions: 11.5cm high x 8.25cm diameter

The collection is in generally good condition. There are no cracks but there is a small chip on the rim of the milk jug and a chip on the lid of the jam pot (see photos). Also the rubber seal on the biscuit jar lid has dried out so the lid is loose fitting and may not be airtight. From a smoke and pet free home.
