We got this at a brocante at Autricourt, Burgundy, some years ago and have used it mostly as decoration.
It’s a charming pottery/stoneware/faience saucisson or sausage serving dish in the shape of a pig.
The saucisson sits within the body of the pig and is sliced at the tail end.
Probably stoneware and dating to the 1970s, it is thickly speckle glazed and has the word SAUCISSON in relief to one side.
Now worn but still sound, it is functional as intended and also a great decorative piece of French kitchenalia…

In good vintage condition with wear and crazing to the glaze but no cracks or damage - please examine photographs carefully for condition.
NOTE: The surfaces are thickly speckle glazed stoneware or similar that is worn with extensive crazing but still sound and stable - see photos.
I have found wear but no damage, cracks, and next to no chips, certainly nothing significant - see photos.
The interior is sound.
The bottom has wear but is sound.
I can find no maker’s mark.
