We got this at a vide maison in Mussy, Burgundy, and have used it infrequently in our kitchen.
It’s a charming ceramic/porcelain/faience pork charcuterie or sausage serving dish in the shape of a pig from the Desvres Pottery Chaumiere or cottage range dating to the late 1970s.
Desvres Dutertre Faience is famous in France, as is the maker of these items - Gabriel Fourmaintraux.
Hand painted and marked COCHONNAILLES which roughly translates to pig or pork sausages/charcuterie, it also has a maker’s mark of G.F. FAIT Main (hand made).
The sausage sits within the body of the dish and is sliced at the tail end.
Although used it is still functional as intended and also a great decorative piece of French kitchenalia…

In good vintage condition with wear but no cracks or damage - please examine photographs carefully for condition.
The surfaces are glazed porcelain or similar with a floral design and the word COCHONNAILLES to the interior.
I have found next to no chips but there is a small one, barely noticeable, to the upper inside edge - see photos.- see photos.
The interior is sound.
The bottom legs have wear but are sound.
Painted maker’s mark as described.
