Description
Fairground Hoopla & Hook-a-duck Dining Table Unique Billy Bates & Sons Leicester
Here's the history...
I bought the painted tabletop on a different base from Tommy, one of the showmen who was retiring from working with Billy Bates & Sons, Enderby, Leicestershire, roughly twenty years ago, along with the fairground stall and loads of other items.
I then attached the gorgeous highly patinated T&G top to a cable drum sheet, sanded the edges, and attached it to a smaller diameter cable drum (so you could get your feet underneath) and waxed it. The patina on the tabletop is genuine, not recreated.
It has been our dining table ever since.
Welcome to come & view - truly unique, would be great for a restaurant / shop counter / display item
Measures 152cm in diameter, and the overall height is 79cm.
