Mcintosh vintage/antique mid-century modern extendable dining table and chair set

Description

Mid-century modern extendable dining table by Mclntosh with six accompanying dining chairs. Teak wood. Dates from mid to late 1960s (approx).

The table has a rectangular top with clean lines, tapered legs, and a smooth wood finish, reflecting the minimalist design aesthetic typical of the era.

The table extends with two butterfly extension leaves, simply pull the table top apart and open each leaf as needed. This means it seats up to ten.

The table's understated elegance and functional design make it a versatile piece that would complement a variety of interior styles. Much sought after.

The table measures 93cm wide, 74cm high and 158.5cm long or 234cm long when fully extended.

Two of the chairs have arms (in a carver style).

Chair sets are covered in an orange velvet fabric and can be easily recovered (the seats come out straightforwardly and you can change fabric and attach - staple gun works well!)

This was our mum and dads set for many years and has been much loved. It is in very good used condition with minor wear but the table top would benefit from sanding and re-polishing/varnishing.
