This listing is for a fully working Canon EOS 450D digital camera and Canon Zoom Lens EF-S 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 II bundle.

Selling to raise money for our local cancer hospice. All profit goes to the hospice charity so please be generous.

These cameras are great workhorses and the bundle contains everything you need to get going with DSLR photography and would suit a student or beginner or make a nice birthday / Christmas surprise for someone.

The bundle includes:-
Canon EOS 450D camera body with cover cap & Canon strap
1 x rechargeable Li-Ion battery
1 x USB battery charger and cable (charges from any standard USB socket, eg phone charger, car, bus, train, etc, great when travelling)
Canon Zoom Lens EF-S 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 II with front and rear lens caps
2GB compact flash memory card (holds c450 'L'-resolution jpg photos )

This camera is supported under Windows as 'plug and play' (just plug in the USB cable (not included) and the camera appears as an external drive so you can download photos). It is also supported by Canon EOS Utility 2 software (original CD's included & updates available from Canons web site). This software allows you to download/manage photos and also control all the camera functions remotely which is useful for astrophotography.

These models have 'Live View' which allows you to see the live image through the lens on the LCD screen. It also uses SD Cards which are less prone to damage than the Compact Flash cards of the 400D model.

The camera and lens are both fully functional and have no known defects
The lens is in good condition with no visible wear, scratches, fungus, haze, etc.
The rubbers, buttons and body are all clean.
The zoom and focus are smooth, not sloppy or gritty.
The Auto/Manual focus switch works fine.
Aperture, focus & zoom all work correctly (see pictures showing depth-of-field at max/min values of focus/zoom/aperture).
Autofocus is fast and quick to lock on

you will get a useful, general purpose camera and zoom lens and will be helping our local hospice care for very sick people.
