Description
Substantial oak writing bureau with a fall-front desk, fitted pigeonhole interior and four spacious graduated drawers. The fall-front provides a generous writing surface, making it suitable as a practical desk as well as an attractive period piece.
It has plenty of age and character, with scratches, ink marks and general wear, particularly inside, as shown in the photographs. There are no keys, although the bureau opens and closes normally. No labels or maker’s marks and no evidence of woodworm.
Dimensions: approximately 100cm wide, 104cm high and 47cm deep when closed.
Very solid and heavy; buyer will need suitable transport. Collection from the St Andrews area.
