Antique Twin Pedestal Desk with Green Leather - Kneehole Desk
Radstock, Somerset
£325
Description
A charming antique Victorian era twin pedestal desk with a green leather insert and lots of handy drawers. This is made of a mixture of solid oak and veneers. The top simply slots onto the pedestal bases making it easy to transport and put back together again, no screws are required. Please note that the kneehole is quite low so it's only suitable for a small person, or it could work if you have a low chair or purely for decorative use.
In fair condition for its age and structurally sound and sturdy. There's marks and scratches from use. The leather top has lots of wear which adds to the charm, there's a small hole going through it into the wood beneath, this is barely noticeable, see pics. One of the drawers fronts is split, but is secure. The key is stuck in one of the locks, but all the drawers are unlocked. There's a small amount of historic woodworm in one of the drawer bases which has made a small hole through, we've treated it to ensure its not active. One of the keyhole surrounds is missing. There's a chip to the shaped edging on one end.
Dimensions: H 71 x W 123 x D 60 cm.
Dimensions of kneehole: H 56.5 x W 58 cm.
