About Us

Sweets Town & Grill is a busy dessert and grill takeaway based in Sydenham, serving customers through our shop and online delivery platforms.

We are looking for reliable, friendly and hardworking Delivery Riders to join our team and provide fast, professional delivery service to our customers.

The Role

As a Delivery Rider, you will be responsible for collecting customer orders from the shop and delivering them safely, accurately and promptly to customers across Sydenham and surrounding areas.

You will represent Sweets Town & Grill when dealing with customers, so excellent customer service and a professional attitude are essential.

Key Responsibilities


Collect completed customer orders from the shop.



Deliver food and drinks safely and within the expected delivery time.



Check orders before leaving the shop to ensure they are complete and correct.



Handle food and drinks carefully during transportation.



Provide friendly and professional customer service.



Follow delivery instructions provided by customers.



Use GPS/navigation applications to locate delivery addresses.



Collect cash payments where required and accurately hand them back to the shop.



Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of your vehicle/bike.



Follow all company food safety and hygiene procedures.



Communicate with the shop team regarding any delivery issues or delays.



Report any problems with orders, customers or delivery routes promptly.



Help with basic shop duties during quieter periods when required.

Able to work independently.



Familiar with Sydenham and surrounding areas, or confident using Google Maps/GPS.



Able to handle food and drinks carefully.



Well-presented and professional.



Flexible and willing to work evenings and weekends.



Able to remain calm and professional during busy periods.



Requirements


Must have the legal right to work in the UK.



Must have a suitable vehicle/bike for deliveries.



Must have appropriate insurance for delivery work where required.



Valid driving licence where a motor vehicle is being used.



Smartphone with access to navigation/GPS.



Good communication skills.



Previous delivery experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.



PART-TIME DELIVERY RIDER

Days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday

We are particularly looking for riders who can commit to the busy weekend periods.

Typical shifts may include:


Thursday – Evening



Friday – Evening



Saturday – Afternoon & Evening



Sunday – Afternoon & Evening



Exact hours will be agreed with the successful applicant and may vary depending on business requirements.

FULL-TIME DELIVERY RIDER

Full-time riders will be expected to work a regular weekly schedule, including some evenings and weekends.

The successful candidate should be flexible and available during our busiest trading periods.
