Service Advisor / Planner - Reading - Salary to GBP30,000 + 10% Bonus

We are seeking an organised and customer-focused Service Advisor / Planner to join a busy service operation within the Automotive industry.

This is a fast-paced role where you will act as the key link between customers, technicians, and the workshop, ensuring repairs, maintenance, and servicing work are planned and managed efficiently. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while maximising workshop utilisation and supporting overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule and plan workshop activities to maximise productivity and available capacity.Proactively contact customers to secure workshop bookings through outbound calls and follow-ups.Accurately interpret customer requirements and create job cards and repair orders.Liaise with customers throughout the repair process, providing updates and managing expectations.Identify and promote additional maintenance, repair, and value-added services where appropriate.Obtain customer authorisation for additional work and communicate any delays effectively.Raise and process invoices accurately and efficiently.Coordinate parts ordering and subcontracted work where required.Maintain accurate vehicle service histories and maintenance records.Support the achievement of departmental revenue, labour sales, and customer satisfaction targets.Ensure all administrative processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner.Build strong working relationships with customers, colleagues, suppliers, and workshop personnel.Adhere to all health and safety requirements, company policies, and industry regulations.What We're Looking For

Essential

Previous experience in a customer service role.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong telephone manner and customer-focused approach.Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.Ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Key Skills
