Description

Are you an experienced Customer Service professional looking for a varied role where you can build strong customer relationships, solve problems and play a key part in converting enquiries into sales?

We’re working on behalf of an established and growing construction equipment supplier who are looking for a Customer Service Coordinator to join their team in Horley, where, you’ll play a key role in supporting existing customers throughout the sales and order process — from handling initial enquiries and preparing quotations through to processing orders and resolving any delivery queries.

This is a genuinely varied position with an ever growing & developing organisation, so if you enjoy having plenty to get stuck into, building rapport with customers and finding solutions when things don’t quite go to plan, this could be a great opportunity for you!

The Role

Handling incoming customer enquiries via phone and email, understanding requirements and recommending suitable products

Preparing quotations and converting enquiries into sales orders

Processing orders accurately using product codes / SKUs

Liaising with internal teams and suppliers to ensure orders are processed and delivered smoothly

Managing delivery queries, including investigating missing or damaged deliveries and finding suitable solutions

Building strong customer relationships and keeping customers updated throughout the order and delivery process

Maintaining accurate CRM records and managing multiple customer enquiries, orders and priorities

The Person:

Previous experience within a similar role, ideally within a product-led environment

Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to understand customer requirements and build strong rapport

High attention to detail, particularly when working with product codes, SKUs, quotations and orders

Strong problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities

Commercially aware, with the confidence to handle quotations and convert enquiries into sales

Confident using CRM systems and computer-based systems, with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach

Salary between £29,000 - £32,000pa DOE

Monday to Friday, 8.30am–5.30pm
