Account Manager - Join a Global, People-First Business!

Are you a people-focused Account Manager who thrives on building long-term relationships and delivering exceptional customer care? We're recruiting for an Account Manager to join a well-established global business in Gateshead's Team Valley on a fixed-term contract basis, covering maternity leave, and you will be employed directly by the Company.

This role offers a blend of account management and warm sales follow-up - no cold calling - making it ideal for someone who enjoys a relationship-led, customer-centric environment. Working closely with a Business Development Manager, you will pick up warm leads passed onto you from the BDM, as well as overseeing and reaching out to current client accounts directly. You will support growing the current accounts, while the BDM is in the field picking up the new business!

Location: Gateshead (Team Valley) - Free Parking On-Site

Salary: Circa £27,000 + Bonus

Contract: Full-Time, Fixed-Term until end of April 2026 (approx. 8 months)

Hours: 36-hour workweek with flexible hours:

Monday-Thursday: 8:20 AM - 4:30 PM

Friday: 8:20 AM - 1:30 PM (early finish!)

Hybrid Working: Work-from-home Fridays (after training)

Build strong client relationships through inbound and warm outbound calls

Follow up on leads, identify growth opportunities, and drive account expansion

Recommend suitable products and services tailored to client needs

Manage the sales pipeline through the CRM - from lead to close

Handle quote requests, apply pricing strategies, and produce sales reports

Support Business Development Managers with key accounts

Provide technical product support (Tier 1-2, with training provided)

Maintain CRM data and prepare account action plans

Meet and exceed sales targets in collaboration with the Senior Account Manager

Participate in regular team meetings, training, and reporting
