Helping my parents-in-law to downsize, resulting in a number of good items up for sale.

Set of 8 vintage tankards by Ridgway England - Coaching Days and Coaching Ways. 3 Large Tankards and 5 Medium Tankards.

The Coaching Days and Coaching Ways series was created on amber brown transferware pottery with black transfers, produced in the 1890s to the 1920s. The series features illustrations chosen by Hugh Thomson & Herbert Railton, contained in the book “Coaching Days and Coaching Ways” by W. Outram Tristram. The book was first published in 1888.

Each item showcases different scenes from routes along old English stagecoach roads. The coaches travelled between inns and villages and the scenes featured on the pottery highlight the travel and inns. Some of the buildings are still standing today.

3 x Large Tankards
H 11.5 cm x Top diameter 8 cm (Base diameter 10 cm)

5 x Medium Tankards
H 10 cm x Top diameter 7 cm (Base diameter 8 cm)

Condition:
Good vintage condition with light age-related wear; some scuffing to the silver handle and faint surface marks; see photos for details.

Prefer buyer collects from Chandler's Ford, but happy to post at buyer’s cost.
